  • Become familiar with company products and stay aware of changes as updates occur Develops new products testing criteria and assists in the design of test apparatus.
  • Support current product production with testing, troubleshooting and isolating malfunctioning equipment Applies quality techniques to the design/development and manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate current product designs and recommend design modifications for improved performance.
  • Implements electro-mechanical design by providing technical support, troubleshooting.
  • Support new and existing products throughout agency approval stage.
  • Act as the authorized person on behalf of Scientific Instruments.
  • Compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Troubleshoot board level issues. Read and interpret board level drawing and circuits.
  • Failure analysis to determine root causes and recommend possible permanent fixes.
  • Board level design and layout. Re-design or find replacement parts for boards where components become obsolete or difficult to obtain.
Qualifications:
  • Familiar with Altium designer & Board level design.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner, demonstrating confidence and courtesy in relationships.
  • Maintain integrity and excellence in character.
  • Develop and maintain good communication skills and win the confidence of others with a friendly attitude.
  • Be able to work well in a team.
  • Efficient and organized.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience in a similar position is desired.
  • Familiar with Altium designer & Board level design.

Summary: Responsible for producing excellent quality product
  • Fabricate and test various sensors following the procedures outlined and / or assembly drawings.
  • Assist in troubleshooting assembly problems and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Follow safety procedures for correct and safe use of liquid cryogens.
  • Maintain accurate records and data on sensors.
  • Troubleshoot/rework product for production schedules.
  • Work with soldering irons, wire crimpers and be under a microscope for long periods of time.
  • Comply with Company’s Quality Assurance Plan by following current procedures and using current controlled forms.
  • Utilize Microsoft Outlook and ERP system for clocking in and out of jobs.
Skills/Exerpience
  • Hand Soldering experience required.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, constantly expanding, and changing environment. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
