Scientific Instruments today announced the expansion of its longstanding relationship with NLNG through a recently awarded project to upgrade eight existing Level, Temperature, and Density (LTD) gauge systems to the company’s latest SI-7000 LTD platform.
This reflects NLNG’s continued focus on maintaining high standards of safety, measurement accuracy, and operational reliability.
The SI-7000 LTD was developed to address evolving industry requirements for LNG and LPG storage applications, with an emphasis on safety compliance, mechanical reliability, and ease of operation. The system integrates level, temperature, and density sensing within a single probe and features a stainless-steel construction designed for long-term performance in corrosive and hazardous environments, including Zone 0 and Zone 1 areas.
Additional design enhancements include a re-engineered vertical gear drive mechanism and robust chain system to support consistent profiling performance, as well as updated electronics that enable improved measurement stability and system diagnostics. The platform also incorporates a user interface and maintenance accessibility improvements intended to simplify operation and servicing in the field.
