The LabVIEW™-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) is a valuable extension to the SCM10, providing an easy way to collect data, change instrument parameters, transfer sensor curves, and perform calibrations. Please take a moment to review the following system requirements:

Minimum System Requirements:

• Windows 98/2000/MA/XP/Vista/7
• 120 MB free hard disk space

INSTALLATION

Download the SCM-10 Utility Software; the setup should launch automatically. If it does not start automatically, go to Start > Run > and type SCM10 Software 1.0.1.zip, followed by setup.exe. (For example: D:\setup. exe) Follow the prompts to install the SCM10 GUI to its default directory, or choose a custom directory for installation.

OPERATION

Before using the SCM10, please first refer to the Instruments Summary for the guide to making rear panel connections and applying power. You may choose to connect the SCM10 by one of three methods:

1. Directly to your computer using a straight-through RS-232 cable
2. Directly to your computer using a crossover Ethernet cable
3. To your network via network switch using a standard RJ-45 Ethernet cable
